New Roadshow Highlights Benefits of AVoIPoE

A new roadshow showcasing the potential of AVoIPoE to enable flexible, energy-efficient AV and IT installations launches on September 29th. AVoIPoE combines the benefits of AV over IP and Power over Ethernet, allowing complete audio-visual systems to be created using standard network cables to carry audio, video, control, data, and power simultaneously.

Hosted at NETGEAR UK headquarters in Bracknell, the first AVoIPoE Design Thinking event centres around two interactive example systems: a PoE meeting room and PoE live production studio. In addition to hands-on training and access to the latest hardware, participants will engage with AVoIPoE experts, including product specialists representing ASUS, AVer, Genelec, NewTek, NETGEAR, Silvertel, SY Electronics, TASCAM, Thinlabs, Wyrestorm and Yamaha. Sponsors include Audiologic, the award-winning provider of professional audio solutions, and renowned technical solutions distributor, Visualization.

“We want to spark peoples’ imaginations and give a taste of how they can work more efficiently and reduce their carbon footprint through AVoIPoE,” explains Siya Fakher from roadshow organisers, Broadtek. “We’ve found the best way to bring the technology to life is to create spaces where participants and experienced trainers can explore, ask questions, and discuss solutions. Once you’ve seen how easy and affordable it can be to install, power and control anything from large format displays to alarm systems and video cameras over a network, it’s hard to imagine going back to the limitations of traditional AV designs”.

The optional training element of the event is AVIXA certified, with successful participants earning CTS RU credits. A second AVoIPoE Design Thinking roadshow event is planned for Manchester in November, with further events in mainland Europe in the pipeline.

Attendance is free for solutions architects, technical professionals, and AV / IT systems integrators. Spaces are limited and can be reserved through the AVoIPoE website
