Description
The Diversity Fin® Antenna is a multi-purpose antenna for wireless microphones that doesn’t drop out by using our patented cross-polarized design. It provides a diversity solution in a single package by combining one log-periodic dipole array (LPDA) and one dipole antenna in an orthogonal (right angle) configuration. One element captures vertically polarized signals, and the other horizontally polarized signals. Unlike traditional “paddle” or “shark fin” antennas, the Diversity Fin allows receivers to see a constant signal regardless of microphone orientation - allowing the user to hold a wireless microphone in any position relative to the antenna. A single Diversity Fin provides superior coverage to two traditional, shark fin antennas, allowing savings as well as reduced time to installation. The Diversity Fin requires no external power and works with all wireless brands, analog and digital. It replaces two standard paddle antennas at a lower cost with better performance and easier installation. Setup is faster for live performance since both cable runs required for diversity receivers are terminated at the same location. A single Diversity Fin can supply to up to 81 wireless receivers using the DISTRO9 HDR antenna distribution system or 25 receivers by using the DISTRO4. Padded cover and stand mount bracket included.

Revisiting Diversity, we use these systems as they are highly reliable, and we would never recommend using a system without it. Sometimes, however, it can be inconvenient to use two antennas for whatever reason. RF Venue have two products for this problem – the Diversity Fin and the Diversity Omni, both a single piece of hardware, offering diversity with their patented cross polarised design. These antennas output both an A and B signal from the unit, allowing the receivers to see a constant signal regardless of microphone orientation - meaning the presenter can hold a wireless microphone in any position relative to the antenna, and we don’t need to worry about multi-path interference. Both the Diversity Fin and Diversity omni capture horizontal and vertically polarised waves in single unit, improving signal consistency in all environments, especially reflective indoor spaces. These units offer superior coverage to standard antennas and allow for both cost and time saving on installation. The Diversity Omni is also easily installed outside, by installing protection for the connectors and the provided cordura nylon cover. Between these two products, dropouts can be eliminated, and you can focus on the performance.
